July 15 2016 The Salina Stockade scored three runs in the seventh inning to rally past the Topeka Train Robbers 3-2 at Dean Evans Stadium. Topeka finished with four hits and two errors, while Salina collected three hits and committed one error.
Topeka scored once in the first inning and added another run in the sixth to take a 2-0 lead. Jordan Caillouet and Tyler Shannon each drove in a run for the Train Robbers, while Sam Pack went 1-for-3 with two runs scored. Salina answered with its three-run seventh, with Jean Carlos Peralta and Mike Rachun each recording an RBI in the game.
Tim Blackmon started for Salina and allowed four hits and two runs, one earned, in six innings. He struck out 10 and walked one. Keifer McClendon earned the win with a hitless seventh inning, allowing one walk.
Nick Hernandez worked 6 1/3 innings for Topeka, allowing one hit and two earned runs while striking out five and walking six. Logan Truex took the loss after allowing two hits and one run in relief. Ryo Haruyama went 1-for-2 with a run scored for Salina, which overcame the early deficit to secure the 3-2 victory.
